Oscillation Attenuation in a Building-like Structure by Using a Flexible Vibration Absorber

This is a theoretical, numerical, and experimental study on the vibration attenuation capability of dynamic response building-like structure using absorber in cantilever flexible beam configuration, taking into account gravitational effects associated with its mass. The model primary vibrating passive control device obtained Euler–Lagrange formulation considering as generalized system one degree freedom. application Hilbert transform to frequency function determine tuning conditions between this nonlinear also proposed. In fashion, analysis then carried out show that nonlinearities present do not significantly contribute performance implemented absorber. Therefore, it valid linearize equations motion obtain condition which can attenuate undesirable harmonic vibrations are disturbing structure. Thus, shows be applied for other configurations absorbers systems. Simulation results included demonstrate efficient presented absorption scheme.
